Terms & Conditions: Weddings and Special Events
A minimum of $250 booking fee or 25% whichever is greater is required to secure your position.
Booking Fees are non-refundable. Full payment is required 2 weeks prior to wedding date.
If cancellation is made within 30 days of the date all payments made are NOT refundable.
Final alterations must be made 3 weeks prior to your wedding day.
Brisbane Market Flowers will be happy to make up to 4 revisions to your order by email without incurring an administration fee.
It is at our discretion that an admin fee will be charged after 4 revisions up to $50 per amendment.
No flower types or varieties are ever guaranteed. This is due to Natural growing requirements, quarantine restrictions and seasonal availability. Every endeavor will be made to complete the order exactly as listed. However, suitable substitutes will be used should something not be available.
Brisbane Market Flowers accepts no liability for growers, wholesalers, agents (and similar) for not supplying the correct product and/or service.
A decision may be made on your behalf to complete the job as we see professionally fit.
In the event of a natural disaster (including but not limited to) severe weather, change of venue, or negligence by another vendor, including third party providers not completing their contractual requirements, Brisbane Market Flowers will act as seen professionally fit in these circumstances, accepting no responsibility.
Hired equipment must be returned by the following Wednesday. It is at the Management’s discretion if and how much fees apply if hired equipment is not returned promptly. Delivery and set up charges apply where required. Sunday weddings are pick up Saturday during business hours unless otherwise arranged.
Terms & Conditions Wedding Consultation Process
- Consultations are only available after receiving an initial quote and completing our wedding enquiry form via our website.
- A $150 consultation fee is payable in advance to secure your appointment. This fee is fully credited toward your final wedding invoice when you proceed with a booking.
- Appointments are held at our store in the Brisbane Flower Markets (Mon–Wed, 7am–11am).
- Consultation bookings are by appointment only. A Google Calendar invitation will be sent once the date/time is confirmed.
- Please respond to the calendar invite within 2 business days to confirm your spot. If no response is received, the appointment slot may be offered to another client.
- Cancellations must be made with at least 48 hours’ notice for a reschedule. No-shows or late cancellations will forfeit the consultation fee.
- By accepting the calendar invitation, you agree to these terms.
Wedding FAQs
Why do I need to pay $150 just to chat?
Our customised appointment only consultations (please see terms and conditions) include expert time, personalised flower planning, and tailored advice. To be fair to our team and our wedding and event schedule, we ask for a commitment upfront – and it's fully credited if you go ahead.
Can I chat before organising a consultation?
Our first point of the process is to submit your questions and details into our Wedding Enquiry platform, where we can provide answers to any initial questions you might have. After you have received a quote, you can then request one of our 40 minute face to face consultations ($150). Terms and conditions apply.
How do I submit changes to my wedding order?
All changes must be submitted in writing via email, so we have a clear and trackable record of your requests. This helps us keep everything accurate and avoid any misunderstandings as your big day approaches.
What if I can’t make my booked consultation and I’ve already paid the $150 fee?
If you can no longer attend your scheduled consultation, please let us know at least 48 hours in advance. We’re happy to reschedule. However, if you cancel with short notice or do not attend, the consultation fee is non-refundable as time has been set aside just for you.
Can I make changes to my order after booking?
Of course - You can make up to four revisions to your quote via email at no extra cost. After that, we may apply a small admin fee of up to $50 per amendment. A revision includes changes to flower types,colours, quantities, or item descriptions. A revision = one complete request. Questions or clarifications aren’t counted as revisions.
Wedding & Event Postponement Policy
In cases where your wedding must be postponed due to circumstances outside your control, such as extreme weather, venue closure, illness, government restrictions, or border closure, we will work with you to reschedule your booking. This is subject to availability and must be communicated as early as possible.
If the postponement occurs with fewer than three weeks’ notice, we require one-third of the original booking total to be paid again. This covers the cost of sourcing and replacing fresh product, which cannot be refunded or reused once ordered. For example, if your floral order is $1,500, an additional $500 would be required to rebook and replenish your order for your new date.
We are a small business and are unable to absorb the full cost of lost stock from late changes and cancellations. We will always do our very best to accommodate unexpected changes in a fair and respectful way, and we appreciate your understanding to do the same.
